David Zahle

David Zahle is an Associate Partner and the Project and Design Architect responsible for many of BIG’s award winning projects. His collaboration with Bjarke Ingels began in 2002 with the VM Residences – where he ended up calling home with his family. He has lectured on BIG’s works throughout Europe and has taught throughout Scandinavia. As one of the key architects in orchestrating BIG’s phenomenal growth, he oversees the hiring and managing of the firm. Currently, David is managing the Danish Maritime Museum project, which is set to be complete in 2011. His most recent major involvement in projects have includes the recently completed Helsingor Psychiatric Hospital and the Wings Residences. With a broad background that includes studies in Philosophy and Computer Science, as well as his Architecture degree, David tackles each design challenge from numerous vantage points.
